PAKISTAN ORPHANS SOCIETY

SUPPORTING LOST AND ABANDONED CHILDREN IN PAKISTAN

Can you help these children please.

There is no Welfare System or State Education System for Christian children in Pakistan. If children are orphaned or come from severely impoverished families they cannot go to school. They are abandoned to a lifetime of illiteracy, ignorance and poverty. Children and Fr Ejaz

In the parish of Our Lady Immaculate & St Cuthbert in Crook, together with help from four other surrounding parishes in Wolsingham, Tow Law, Willington and Langely Moor, we collect monies by monthly Standing Orders, Donations and Fund Raising. We send this money regularly to Nazareth House Orphanage, where every penny is used to support and educate Christian children. The photograph shown is Fr. Ejaz Hayat in the centre surrounded by some of the children that he has helped in the past. Fr Ejaz is now very busy back working tirelessly in the Diocese of Faisalabad as you will see in the report mentioned below.

We are trying to support approximately 50 deprived and orphaned children, who have been rescued from the streets and as we can see from the latest report, are being housed in the new orphanage. It costs at least £15 per month to feed and clothe each child. We are helping send those children to school. It costs £5 rising by age to £15 per month to send each child to school.

Thank you to everyone who has helped raise funds for the Orphanage in Pakistan and it is with great delight that it continues to be fully occupied. Our ongoing project is to continue to support these children and help with their education. All contributions sent are making a big difference to the lives of children who had absolutely nothing to live for. Nazareth House (the orphanage) is playing a great role in the lives of less fortunate children.

The latest information about Fr. Ejaz's work and also to see and how the children are progressing with their education, especially in this difficult time when the Coronavirus Pandemic has also reached Pakistan, can be seen in the report below. You will see from the 3 months ended 31st December 2020 report on the PAKISTAN ORPHANS that the managers of the orphanage are finding it increasingly difficult to buy sufficient food and necessities for all the children, as a result of the continuing Covid 19 pandemic, but the children are well cared for.

Can you help us, please? ANY donation, however small, would be most gratefully received to help these children.

You who dwell in the shelter of the lord
Who Abide in his shadow for life
Say to the Lord:" my refuge,
my rock in whom I trust!"

And he will raise you up on eagles wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn
make you to shine like the sun
and hold you in the palm of his hand

Grant us, Lord God, a vision of your world: a world where those who are weak are protected, and none go hungry or poor; a world where the riches of creation are shared, that everyone may enjoy them; a world where peace is built with justice, and justice is guided by love, through Christ our Lord. Amen

Beatitudes for a Welcoming Parish:

  • Blessed are you when you smile at me - for then I know I am welcome
  • Blessed are you when you look on me with love - for then I know I am special
  • Blessed are you when you wait for me - for then I know I belong
  • Blessed are you when you ask me for help - for then I know I matter
  • Blessed are you when you hold my hand - for how else will I know Godís compassion.
  • Jesus, make our hearts ever gentler and more humble,
so that we may present to those you have confided to our care,
and in this way make us instruments of your love
which gives life and joy and real freedom
